About the Queensland Branch

In northern state of  Queensland, there is one main branch which covers the membership of the whole state, though there are smaller, local groups, such as the Sunshine Coast group. Most of the members live somewhere between Noosa, the Gold Coast and Maleny. Others live further away in Kandanga, Mareeba, Bonogin, Toowoomba. There are also activities and enterprises, such as Steiner schools, held by Anthroposophists who are not members.

Over the last several years, qldanthropoSophia (or qaS) has organised workshops inspired by many different areas of Anthroposophy with themes on biodynamics, art/colour/clay, contemporary socio-political issues and complementary medicine. Two such past events are described below.

qaS is keen to foster interest in celebrating the festivals and holds a Celebration for the Dead with eurythmy performance every year in the middle of Winter (see below) but there are also ongoing study groups, artist groups, First Class gatherings, new school projects, play groups, and bio-dynamic farming groups.

There is also the Pacifica College of Eurythmy in Brisbane. Find out more about the College iin their latest newsletter.
