Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We warmly invite you to deeply consider applying for the Advanced Diploma of Rudolf Steiner Education at Melbourne Rudolf Steiner Seminar this year, if it has been on your mind. For the first time in our 50-year history, we face the real possibility of not being able to offer the Advanced Diploma in the future—either online or on campus—due to declining enrolments. This would be a profound loss—not only for Steiner schools across Australia but also for the international students who bring hope and vitality to education worldwide, often establishing Steiner schools in their home countries.
Over the past five decades, we have been privileged to support countless individuals driven by a desire to create meaningful change—whether in education, health, climate action, family life, social reform, or the arts. It has been our joy to walk alongside these students as they pursued their ideals and to witness them become active contributors to the field of education.
Every year, we hear from individuals who have been contemplating applying for the Advanced Diploma—sometimes for years—waiting for the right moment to take the step. If this resonates with you, we need to stress that now is the time to act.
Our Advanced Diploma is one of very few accredited Waldorf teaching program in the southern hemisphere, and it provides pathways to Bachelor of Education programs at Australian universities. However, unless enrolments increase significantly for 2025, this will be your last chance to benefit from this unique program.
We are urging all interested people to apply by 19 December, or let us know of their positive intention to apply. On 15 January 2025 we will be making the final decision whether we have sufficient enrolments to go ahead with the course.
