What is lazure? And what is its purpose?

27 March,2022 @ 11:30 am - 4:00 pm

| $50
blue lazured wall with red/pink door

A painting workshop with artist Fiona Campbell
in conjunction with the Canberra Christian Community

As part of the current chapel upgrade, the new altar wall will be lazured, creating a pure experience of colour, as though one could ‘spiritually pass through’ the walls. Dr Fiona Campbell will be undertaking this process.

To give the members of the community a sense of what lazure painting involves and why we use it in chapels and other anthroposophic institutions, Fiona is offering an afternoon practice-based workshop after the service on 27 March.

Come for the Act of Consecration at 10am, then stay for a shared lunch and workshop. Fiona will introduce the lazure philosophy and process, then you will have the opportunity to paint a portable wall yourself.

Time/Day

Sunday 27 March 11.30am to 4.00pm AEDT.
Both the service and workshop will be at Harmony Centre, 11 Beresford St, Mittagong NSW 2575.

Cost

$50 with materials provided. Please bring soup and/or bread for lunch to share.
