Creating inner light in our hearts
17 December @ 7:00 pm
“Today it is unhealthy to believe that one can do something in a particular limited area without taking into consideration the fact that since the middle of the 19th century the earth has been a single organism in regard to social relationships. One simply must take this reality into account…”
Rudolf Steiner gave us this advice a century ago and we are tasked with integrating this view into festivals like Christmas.
The iconography and customs are derived from the winter darkness of the North, while it is summer in our hemisphere.
The Uriel imagination gives us a radiant picture of the light that pervades the earth and the cosmos.
The Golden Legend is a story that connects our past evolution as human beings with the future ideal of spiritual life for all humanity.
Through the birth of the Christ-child, we can now create inner light in our hearts.
A presentation of these ideas will be given with Jessie Phelps and insights from Martin Samson, who has worked extensively with these themes. The Festival Choir will sing and musical contributions are welcome.
Starting at 7pm at Rudolf Steiner House.
