The Foundation for Water and the International Flowform Association present a international water event in France and beyond ….
10th – 13th September 2026

Mas Vilalte pool
Fluidity, rhythm and resonance are fundamental to water and our natural world. They also have physical, metaphorical and psychological connotations for human life. Indeed, interactive engagement with water that is contained, marked and moved in various ways can engender fluid or water thinking. Such engagement has the power to mobilise and transform our creative and imaginative faculties, offering a wonderful example of Goethe’s sensitive and enlivening approach to scientific inquiry.
This international hybrid weekend event is an initiative of the School for Water of the Foundation for Water based at Emerson College UK, together with the International Flowform Association. Mas Vilalte is to be one of several in-person venues worldwide, linked by a Zoom sharing with participants from around the world on each of three days.
International linkups
There will be several several in-person venues worldwide, linked by a Zoom sharing on each of three days. At present, there are 13 different hubs across five continents.
For Australian workshops, please contact Fiona Campbell. And Fiona will be hosting a Saturday afternoon workshop on the 12th September in the Adelaide HIlls. Download the download this flyer.
What will we do?
To explore the theme, participants in different continents can undertake similar simple water experiments and reflective exercises. These experiments are ‘water encounters’ that awaken us to the intrinsic dynamic nature of natural water flow around us. Some are very simple and can be done in your kitchen or swimming pool!
Guidelines will be shared with registered participants in advance.
