DESCRIPTION:  \nIn the ethereal ocean’s colour-glorying \nThe weaving essence of the Light brings forth \nThe Spirit-texture of the Human Soul\, \nAnd ripening with seed of Spirit-life \nThe Soul athirst for Light looks out \nInto the darkling colour-depths of Space. \n  \nRudolf Steiner \n  \nThe first of three courses in the Masterclass series on exploring the origins of our spiritual and earthly existence.  \nInspired by Rudolf Steiner’s lectures on the planetary cycles and his Training Sketches for the Artist. This course will start with the planetary cycles beginning with Old Saturn and end with Lemuria. \nWhat are Steiner’s Training Sketches? \nThe Training Sketches can be seen as ‘picture seeds’ and were given to the artists in answer to a request from the painter Henni Geck for a new impulse in art. DESCRIPTION: \nTowards A Cultural-Spiritual Approach to Dying and Death\nOnce\, we understood dying and death through imaginations\, inspirations and intuitions. SUMMARY:Some Fundamentals of Anthroposophy in Light of the Visual Arts
DESCRIPTION:  \nA Painted Space Studio Webinar \nA visual presentation on some core concepts underlying all Anthroposophy and how they relate to Steiner’s vast portfolio of visual images and artforms.  \n  \nWhat’s it about? \nThe philosopher and spiritual scientist\, Rudolf Steiner\, left us a vast body of visual knowledge – sketches\, watercolour paintings\, blackboard drawings\, sculptural models – of the Anthroposophic path to the Spirit. He once said that all the understanding of spiritual science was embodied in these works. \nMany of these ‘seeds’ of inspiration\, imagination and intuition have been written about thoughtfully and deeply and provide the modern seeking artist with much to explore and experience. Many remain enigmatic. But even in the seemingly simple motifs\, such as a sunrise\, there is far more to them than meets the eye or paintbrush. \nBehind each sketch\, each exercise\, each lecture by Steiner\, lie certain core principles that provide a framework of understanding of Steiner’s worldview and path to spiritual enlightenment. Without knowledge of these\, his indications can be difficult to make sense of.
