SUMMARY:Tranformative Art & Architecture (TAA) Module 3
DESCRIPTION:The Human Being as Measure of All Things\nArchitectural Form and the Evolution of Consciousness \n  \nA Transformative Art & Architecture (TAA) seminar  \nAn online 6-day  seminar over 3 alternating weekends and 4 midweek evenings\, starting on Saturday 27th August 2022\,  9.45 am \nWhat is it about? \nTo be able to objectively evaluate architectural form we must base our judgements on an objective set of criteria. From a spiritual perspective\, the only truly objective criteria we have are those connected with the spiritual and physical nature of the human being. \nThe human being represents the 4th kingdom of nature\, which stands in a close relationship to the three lower\, animal\, plant and mineral kingdoms . In this module we explore this very relationship between the four nature kingdoms. The progression of consciousness from the mineral – plant – and animal – to the human kingdom provides us with valuable insights as to the hierarchy of form as well as the link  between form and consciousness. We conclude with a specific set of evaluation criteria. \nProgram \nOver the three weekends participants will gain practical and theoretic insights into the following questions: \n\nWhy and how is the human being a universal point of reference for Architectural Form?\nHow is the development of consciousness mirrored both in the historic forms of art & architecture and in the forms of the 4 kingdoms of nature?\nWhat relevance does the ascending hierarchy of form  have with respect to our modern forms of art & architecture?\nWhat is the Threefoldness of the Human Being and how is this mirrored in Architectural Form?\nWhat is the relationship between the 3 dimensions of space and our faculties of thinking\, feeling and willing?\nWhat is the architectural equivalent of the “body” “soul” and “spirit”\, of a building?\nWhat  objective criteria do we have by which architectural form is elevated to a higher level of consciousness?\n\n  \nOpen lecture: Introductory Lecture about the aims and methods of Transformative Art & Architecture \nDate: Thursday\, 25th August 2022 7.30 – 9 pm (Melbourne Time) \nThis lecture is open to all and is compulsory for all new  TAA students. Dedicated Zoom Link \nIf you cannot attend the lecture\, a recording of a similar lecture is available via this Vimeo link. \nDates \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nModule 3-Level I will be offered over 3 alternating weekends and 4 midweek evenings\, starting on Saturday 27th August 2022\,  9.45 am \nCost \n\n\n\nDiscount rate if paid upfront for the full course \n\n\n\n\nProfessional:  $900 (3 x $300)\nConcession:     $675  (3 x $225)\nFor Students:  $450 (3 x $50) \nNormal rate if paid per weekend \nProfessional:  $1150 (3 x $350)\nConcession:     $825  (3 x $275)\nFor Students:  $600 (3 x $200) \nAll payments dues in advance by the preceding Tuesday/s. The first payment due by Tuesday 23rd  August 2022. \nHow to enrol \nComplete this enrolment form   and send  it to Johannes & Sue \nUpon payment you will receive an email the receipt\, a more detailed program and the relevant zoom link which will remain the same for all sessions. \nFor more information \nFor more information\, please visit the Biosculptural Architecture website

SUMMARY:Working with Steiner's Seven School Sketches - further training for the artist
DESCRIPTION: \nA masterclass studio with artist Fiona Campbell\nThe Seven School (or Friedwart) Sketches motifs were given to the teachers as part of Rudolf Steiner’s new impulse for understanding both Art and Nature\, to help students explore objective spiritual laws\, where form arises out of colour\, not the reverse. The series moves from nature moods through the four elements to culminate in a Madonna and Child motif.  \n  \nWhat are the Training Sketches? \nTheses sketches are part of a comprehensive portfolio known as the Training Sketches for the Artists. The Nine Training Sketches (Nature Moods) and the Goetheanum epochs motifs form a substantial part of this portfolio. \nBut these sketches are not images of external natural events; they refer to acts that are effective in nature and human\, says Christiane Haid\, head of the Visual Arts Section and the Section for the Literary Arts and Humanities at the Goetheanum. She believes dealing with the creative forces can become the starting point for facing tasks in healing the world.  \nYou are invited to join artist and researcher Fiona Campbell for an online masterclass (seven sessions) as she works with these motifs as culmination of a year-long project to bring Steiner’s sketches and motifs to celebrate the centenary of Steiner’s gift to visual artists of the comprehensive portfolio known as the Training Sketches for the Artists. \nYou don’t have to be a professional artist\, or even very experienced\, to enjoy this course.  \nA training for the configuration of the soul \nThey are called training sketches\, but sometimes people wonder what it is they are training. They are not guides to technique\, nor are they supposed to be copied literally. They are not answers to what artworks of sunrises and trees and people should look like. Rather\, they are a training for the soul. What does this mean? \nThrough working with each sketch\, the painted is lead towards an inward experience of the motif. This opens up the way to true moral and spiritual experiences. By learning to unite herself with the inner essence of these motifs\, the artist can reveal through her work traces of her soul experience of the cosmos. \nHistorical background \nIn June 2022 it will have been one hundred years since the painter and sculptor Henny Geck asked Rudolf Steiner for a course that would bring about a renewal of the art of paining. Steiner gave a series of motifs to the artists in the form of rough sketches\, as a foundation for the renewal of the art of painting. the foundational program for painters seeking to work out of Anthroposophy. This program is comparable to the indications he gave to the eurythmists and has been practiced in different forms in anthroposophic art trainings since Steiner first gave the Nine Training Sketches to artist Henni Geck 100 years ago. \nThese masterclasses are part of a worldwide movement this year to celebrate Steiner’s  artistic impulse\, including the Goetheanum motifs\, on the centenary of the burning down of the First Goetheanum. They are also offering lectures and courses to help realise Rudolf Steiner’s vision of a new impulse in the arts and make these motifs visible to the wider public.  \nWho are the masterclasses for? \nFor artists\, Steiner teachers\, art therapists and art students looking to find a path in soul/spiritual development through the arts; and for anyone interested in understanding more about Rudolf Steiner’s impulse in Art. \nTo get the most out of this course\, it is anticipated that participants work alongside Fiona in-class and on their own between sessions.  \nRequired \n\nfamiliarity with Steiner’s or Goethe’s colour theories\nbasic watercolour wet-on-dry skills (you can use wet-on-wet or any other painting media\, such as oils or acrylics\, if you prefer but technical advice is not directed towards these media) \n\nThis is not a step-by-step instructional class so not suitable for beginners. \nWhat dates are the classes? \n2-4pm AEDT Friday afternoons \n2/16/30 September\, 14/28 October\, 11/25 November. \nSession 1: Sunrise\nSession 2:  Sunset\nSession 3:  Trees in Sunny Air\nSession 4:  Trees in Storm\nSession 5:  Sunlit Tree by a Waterfall\nSession 6:  Head Study\nSession 7: Madonna and Child \nHow much does it cost? \nOnline series: $250 for 7×2 hr masterclasses or $42 for individual sessions. \nWhere do I register? \nRegister here! \nPlease register online. If you are a new participant please also complete the enrolment form. \nYou  can download the enrolment form here (payment details and a list of suggested materials and readings included). The Zoom link will sent to you a few days before class. \nEdited versions of the masterclasses are recorded but live participation is preferred\, unless your time zone makes this impossible. \nFor more information \nFor more information about the masterclass or for any questions\, please contact Fiona Campbell \n You may also like to share this flyer with others. \n \n  \nAbout Fiona Campbell and her work \n\nhttps://www.anthroposophyau.org.au/wp-content/uploads/CampbellSunMoonTreesVideoV6.mp4\n  \nFiona Campbell is a visual artist\, researcher\, lecturer and arts educator. SUMMARY:Parsifal Reimagined: Stage 2 of The Parsifal Project
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n\n \npresents \nParsifal Reimagined \nA series of 5 creative writing workshops\nreimagining the Parsifal legend for today’s world \nWorkshop facilitator: Fiona Campbell \n  \n\n“A journey of life and transformation \nThe light and darkness in our souls \nThe careless hero\, the broken sword \nThe suffering king\, the wasteland\, the rite of life \nThe many maidens on the hero’s path \nFrom dullness through doubt to glory” \n  \nHow can we portray these many forms of ‘Grail’ experiences for our time? What is the story we are telling ourselves? And where will our narrative take us? Through creative writing\, we seek to answer these questions for ourselves while also contributing together to the development of a new and original performance artwork. \nParticipate in this creation of performance art! \nCome join our online fortnightly writing workshops to be part of this process as we work towards developing a script for our stage production in 2023. You don’t have to be a writer to enjoy these workshops\, just a love of literature and bringing it to life.  \nFind out what it is like to be part of interactive community building working towards a multicultural\, multimedia stage performance\, as we explore the themes and our own meanings of the Parzival and Grail legends through the creative word. \nA Poetry and Prose Reading \nWe anticipate the workshops will culminate in a Poetry and Prose Reading event on 26 November for participants to share their works with family and friends. This will be a hybrid event\, online and on-the-ground in Mt Barker\, SA\, hosted by Ink Pots Arts.  \nTell me more … \nThis series of fortnightly workshops builds on the material introduced in Stage 1: Parsifal Unpacked. Having deconstructed the interwoven storylines of the Parsifal\, Grail and Arthurian legends\, we now use this material as inspiration for reimagining this medieval epic using our own words and cultural contexts. \nEach workshop uses one key theme elicited from Stage 1 as a prompt to explore its mood and meaning\, using different techniques to evoke poems\, short stories and imaginative word pictures.  \nThese workshops will also provide the foundation for the Stage 3 script development. \nWho are they for? \nFor anyone who wants to explore the Parzival legend through the creative word; who would like to deepen their own relationship to this story; or who enjoys being creative through crafting imaginative word pictures in community with others. \nYou do not have to be a practised writer to enjoy these workshops. The workshops provides both structured and unstructured exercises to help you learn how to craft with words.   \nBudding writers and poets of all levels of experience welcome! \nParticipation in Parsifal Unpacked is not prerequisite\, but you do need a working knowledge of the story to get the most out of these workshops. Here are some helpful resources.  \nReadings and resources \nParzival by Wolfram von Eschenbach\nPerceval le Gallois by Chrétien de Troyes\nParzival: An Introduction by Eileen Hutchins\nThe Camelot Project\, a digital library guide to people\, places and images\nParsifal the opera\, an online resources with background notes\nChrist and the spiritual world – the search for the Holy Grail\, GA 149\, a lecture by Rudolf Steiner \nWhen are they on? \nSaturday afternoon 3.30-5.30 pm ACST\nWebinar workshops: 17 September | 1 October | 15 October | 29 October | 12 November\nPoetry and Prose Reading: 26 November\, time to yet decided \nHow much does it cost?  \n$200 full workshop series or $160 for students (proof/documentation required) \nWhere do I register? \n You can register here \n \nFind out more … \nDownload the flyer and share!\nFind out more about The Parsifal Project here\nContact Artistic Director Jo-anne Sarre  \n  \nThis course is Stage 2 of The Parsifal Project\, a year-long multimedia community project. \n  \n“Don’t be satisfied with stories\, how things have gone with others. \nUnfold your own myth.”  Rumi \n  \n  \nAbout the facilitator \nFiona Campbell\, workshop facilitator and project creative consultant \nFiona Campbell is a visual artist\, researcher\, lecturer and arts educator. SUMMARY:The great Luciferic/Ahrimanic face-off
DESCRIPTION: \n…and the tragedy of duality in our time\nThe 1st of 3 practice-based webinars exploring key challenges of 5th epoch\, 6th epoch and our cosmic future \nas represented in the ceiling motifs of the first Goetheanum \nPresenter: Fiona Campbell  \n  \n We are familiar with the figures of Lucifer and Ahriman as portrayed in Rudolf Steiner’s definitive sculpture\, the Representative of Humanity. There\, both beings are held in balance by the shining figure of the Christ Being. Yet in daily life\, it is the spectre of Ahriman that shadows us continually\, through our engagement with technologies that both ease and complicate everyday tasks. Lucifer seems to recede into the background of our consciousness as more an eternal archetype than a current concern\, a figure\, perhaps\, from the Biblical past. \n \nYet the motif of the Soul of our 5th Post-Atlantean epoch (left) shows both Lucifer and Ahriman irretrievably enmeshed\, and not held apart by Christ. So we can ask the question: do we really understand their interwoven relationship and its consequences for us in contemporary life? That where one being is\, the other is also always present? As a counterpart? \nRudolf Steiner describes this dual principle as an inescapable tragedy for the modern soul. So\, how can we grapple with this? In the motifs that filled the ceiling of the first Goetheanum\, we find some answers. \n  \nTell me more … \nThis is the first of three intensive\, practiced-based webinars that aim to deepen the work introduced in the Goetheanum Epoch Motifs series earlier this year. Questions about their relevance to today and how they could guide our future development emerged during this series. Let’s examine these questions further through immersing ourselves in the motifs.  \nThree webinars on the theme \nEach webinars revisit one of the three motifs that embody our present\, future and cosmic stage motifs of Steiner’s Goetheanum ceiling sketches. The three webinars concern:  \n\n\nThe great Lucifer and Ahriman face-off and the tragedy of duality in our time | The Germanic/Persian motif  | \nThe future of dualism: facing our shadow self | The Slavic motif |  \nThe correlation between the IAO motif and the Foundation Stone Meditation | The IAO motif | \n\n\nEach motif embodies a soul stage of human development – for the 5th epoch (current)\, the 6th epoch (future) and for our cosmic\, eternal image.  \nWe will explore these three motifs through their gestures\, meanings and role in our soul/spiritual evolution using lecture\, discussion\, contemplation and some drawing. \nWho are the webinars for? \nFor students of Anthroposophy\, Steiner teachers\, artists and anyone interested in understanding Steiner’s approach to the spiritual evolution of humanity. \nYou do not need to have attended the first Epochs series\, nor do you need drawing skills to enjoy these workshops: the focus is on the experiencing the content through doing\, not learning drawing techniques.  \nWhen are they on? \nSaturday afternoon 4.00-5.30pm AEST\nWebinar workshops: 24 September | 22 October | 26 November \nEach session will be recorded and will be available for registrants.\nDrawing materials list and background reading suggestions emailed at registration. \nHow much does it cost?  \nOnline series:  | $100 for 3 webinars | $40 per webinar | Concessions available – please contact Fiona. \nWhere do I enrol? \nEnrol here! \nThen download the payment details\, materials list and suggested readings. \n The Zoom link will be sent to you upon enrolment. You will be sent a reminder one hour before the webinar starts.  \nIf you lose your email with the link\, you will need to register again.  \nFor more information \nPlease contact Fiona Campbell  \n  \nAbout the presenter: Fiona Campbell PhD. is a researcher\, lecturer\, visual artist and arts educator. The nature of consciousness in our inner and outer development is one of her special interests\, a topic she has lectured and researched for 25 years. Her artistic research on the Goetheanum motifs complements this interest.  \nFiona is also a member of the Stream of Life Research Studio\, where she focuses on her other two specialisations\, phenomenology and creative cognition. \nYou can find out more about Fiona on her website\, read about her teaching work at Sydney Rudolf Steiner College or listen to a 2020 ABC Soul Search interview with her about the anthroposophical approach to art.  \nBackground notes \n2022 marks the centenary of the burning of the first Goetheanum on New Year’s Eve in 1922/23. As part of the 100th anniversary of the fire\, artists and members of the Anthroposophical Society around the world have been working with the forms and motifs of the 1st Goetheanum. These three webinars are part of this world-wide activity. \nFor the ceiling of the first Goetheanum\, Steiner gave a series of ‘epoch’ motifs to the artists – 12 sketches for the large cupola of the 1st Goetheanum and 7 Sketches for the small cupola. These motifs map the spiritual history of humanity and were intended to support a training in karmic vision through Art. \n  \n  \n‘I must not ever leave you. \nYou will in future often find me at your side; \nI shall not go from you until you find \nthe power of that which you are to become.’ \n(The Soul’s Probation\, Scene 5) \n. \nPhoto credits: from The Language of Color in the First Goetheanum by Hilde Raske  \n

SUMMARY:Facing Our Shadow Self in the 6th Epoch
DESCRIPTION: \n| The Slavic Motif and Our Shadow Self | \nThe 2nd of 3 practice-based webinars exploring the tragedy of dualism \nin the  5th epoch\, 6th epoch and our cosmic future\nas represented in the ceiling motifs of the first Goetheanum \n  \n‘I must not ever leave you. \nYou will in future often find me at your side; \nI shall not go from you until you find \nthe power of that which you are to become.’ \n(The Soul’s Probation\, Scene 5) \n  \n  \nPresenter: Fiona Campbell  \nOur shadow self is usually seen as being our disowned self\, those aspects of our selves we don’t or won’t accept. This shadow is also a development of our innate dualistic nature. So\, how can we grapple with this? In the motifs that filled the ceiling of the first Goetheanum\, we find some answers. \nThis is the 2nd webinar in the The Great Luciferic/Ahrimanic face-off . But you don’t have to have attended previous webinars to enjoy the presentation and discussion.  \n  \nTell me more … \nWe use the motif (pictured above) representing the 6th epoch\, still far in our future\, to understand the nature of our double or shadow as a picture of dualism in our souls. \n\nWhat really is this shadow? \nHow will we experience it? \nDo all beings have a shadow\, even angels? \nAnd how does this affect our future evolution and spiritual development? \n\nWe explore these questions through study\, discussion\, contemplation and a little sketching of the motif.  \n\n  \nWho are the webinars for? \nFor anyone interested in Steiner’s approach to the spiritual evolution of humanity. \nYou do not need to have attended any previous webinars in this series nor do you need drawing skills to enjoy these workshops: the focus is on the experiencing the content through doing\, not learning drawing techniques.  \nWhen are they on? \nSaturday afternoon 4.00-5.30pm AEST\nWebinar workshops: 22 October | 26 November \nEach session will be recorded and a video of the event will be available post-webinar.\nA list of suggested drawing materials and background readings is also included in the cost.  \nHow much does it cost?  \nOnline series:  | $60 for 2 webinars | $35 per webinar | Concessions available on request – please contact Fiona.\nVideo recording included in the cost \nWhere do I book?  \nBook here! \nAfter booking\, I will send you a confirmation email containing the zoom link to join the meeting.  \nThen download the payment details\, materials list and suggested readings. \nFor more information \nPlease contact Fiona Campbell  \n\n  \nBackground notes \nWhat exactly is dualism?   \nThe term ‘dualism’ has various characterisations in different cultures and time periods. But in general\, it means there are two fundamental kinds or categories of things or principles. In theology\, for example\, a dualistic principle is Good and Evil or God and the Devil as independent yet equal forces in the world. Light and Darkness is another example of dualism common to most cultures. \nAccording to Rudolf Steiner\, dualism in our human evolution is expressed through two opposing yet interdependent entities called Lucifer and Ahriman. Both these names can be found in the Bible and in Zoroastrianism as mighty beings\, like fallen angels. But today they are experienced in our soul life as polar-opposite forces that we unconsciously swing between\, like a pendulum. The first webinar in this series\, The Great Luciferic/Ahrimanic Face-off\,  explored their influence in our daily lives in some depth. A video of this webinar is available on request.  \nThis webinar considers how this split might evolve into a separate shadow self.  \nAbout the first Goetheanum \n2022 marks the centenary of the burning of the first Goetheanum on New Year’s Eve in 1922/23. \n. \nPhoto credits: from The Language of Color in the First Goetheanum by Hilde Raske  \n

SUMMARY:In the Hut of a Thousand Suns
DESCRIPTION:  \nExploring the Nature Of ‘Evil’ Through Folktales\, Storytelling\, Creative Activities & Deep Conversation\n  \nWe’ve never lived in a more profound paradox: our destruction of the Earth and ourselves through climate collapse\, the escalation of A.I.\, the increasing loss of human rights\, while simultaneously facing unprecedented opportunities to develop our consciousness\, understanding of interconnectedness\, and ethical individuality. \n\nParadox is ripe with possibilities; folktales are riddled with paradox\, refuse ‘standard rules of behaviour’ and put forward dilemma\, questions\, and contradictions. They force us to develop moral-ethical imagination\, our ability to think in new\, unexpected ways\, see parallels and relationships which hadn’t existed before\, and become at least dimly aware of the complexity of our inner-selves (Spaulding).\n\nStorytelling has always been something we share\, and folktales are part of our human biology. When we hear a story\, as a couple\, family\, or community\, our brains harmonise. Through creative images and inspiration provided by stories\, we get inside ideas together – like an orchestra\, synchronising individual skills and instruments to interpret the idea of the symphony to create music in which everyone a has a part. Folktales offer innovative strategies for survival\, that aren’t unrealistic dreams\, but observations and aspirations for the world we live in. And our insistence on belonging\, community\, and human connection is one of the greatest acts of courage and resistance in the face of oppression (O’Donohue).\n\nWhat can you expect from this seminar? Storytelling that initiates both community and individuality. Folktales that reveal how and why loneliness and isolation attract Evil\, why unused creative power\, transgression and disrespect lack awareness and carry the potential of self-destruction. You’ll experience the power of Story and storytelling\, gain an understanding of the importance of opening and closing story-space\, access tools that craft the telling of tales and build valuable insight into the theme and the Fifth Secret (Steiner): Evil exists so we wake up\, transform it and move toward Spirit-soul-consciousness. \nHow much does it cost?  \nStandard $350\nEarly Bird Singles $290\nCouples p.p. $250\nTeams [p.p.] $225 \nWhen is it on? \n12/13 November; 19/20 November  \nVenues \nLaunceston Venue: Tamar Valley Steiner Early Childhood 41 French Str\, Launceston \nHobart (Huntingfield) Venue: Tarremah Steiner School\, ‘Silvereye Room’\, 27 Nautilus Grove\, Huntingfield 7055\n \nBookings \nBook here! \n  \nFor more information \nContact Iris Curteis  mob: 0487 719 476 \nAbout Iris Curteis \nI am a Storyteller and Social Artist; I encountered Anthroposophy as an 18-year-old\, and met wonderful\, inspiring teachers in Europe and Australia. My background includes studies in visual art\, storytelling\, speech formation\, and dramatic art (Europe)\, B.A. and B.A. hon. in creative writing\, and a Ph.D. on storytelling and community building (Australia). This workshop is ‘experiential’\, interactive and practical. It offers space for deep conversations about how and why storytelling empowers our imagination\, and the many ways creativity and creative thinking encourage us to appreciate our lives as works of art.

SUMMARY:What is Phenomenology?
DESCRIPTION:  \nStream of Life Research Studio presents \na webinar\, a dialogue\, a sharing and questioning session \n  \nPhenomenology is a way of seeing the world \nPhenomenology is the study of the lived experience as it was/is lived \nPhenomenology a means of investigation which permits us to grow beyond ourselves \nGoethean Science is phenomenological in approach\, and is well known in anthroposophical circles as a qualitative approach to understanding the natural sciences. But phenomenology as a methodology for wider anthroposophic-based application is becoming increasingly popular in our circles; and the term ‘lived experience’ has gone into the our everyday language.  \nBut it can be confusing! Everyone has a different understanding of just what phenomenology is and how to apply it. \nTell me more \nThis webinar aims to unpack phenomenology as a philosophy\, as a research methodology\, and as a practice from the perspective of different researchers and practitioners from different fields and disciplines who use this approach in their work. \nThe session takes the form of presentations and dialogue as to our shared understandings of what we each mean by phenomenology. And if you are not a practitioner but would like to know more\, come along and ask questions. We’d love to share our passion with you! \nWho is it for?  \nAny one interested in finding out more about phenomenology. All welcome! \nProgram  \nWe open with the questions: What counts as phenomenology? What is the essence of phenomenology\, for all forms and approaches?  \nSeven researchers and practitioners share their experiences: Martin Samson (theology)\, Fiona Campbell (human sciences)\, Joanna Jaaniste (dramatherapy)\, Peter Stewart (Goethean Science)\, Greg Burgess (architecture)\, Lisa Devine (theology) and Teresa Carapeto (Education).  \nEach presenter describes their understanding through the lens of these four key characteristics: \n\nAn open attitude: how do I see with “new eyes”?  \nDwelling: how do I immerse myself into the object\, how do I engage with the experience\, the information?\nDisclosure: how can I reveal the essence of the phenomenon in question?\nDescription: sharing my experiences of working phenomenologically. How do I do this? \n\nQ&A session followed by a summing up of what we’ve learned. \nHow does it impact my professional practice? My way of seeing the world? \nSo what is phenomenology? and can anyone practice it? \nAnd is there interest for further discussion in an ongoing group? \nWhen will this webinar take place?  \n7pm Wednesday 16th November 2022 online \nCost \nBy donation  \nRegistration \nTo register \nHow to join the webinar \nAfter registration\, participants will be sent the Zoom link by email two (2) days beforehand\, and then again one (1) hour beforehand. \nPlease login for the webinar via your Zoom app and not via Eventbrite. \nFor more information \nPlease contact Fiona Campbell or Martin Samson

SUMMARY:Driven by the Spirit into the Desert
DESCRIPTION:  \nA webinar with Rev. Patrick Kennedy \nin the Shining a Light into the Darkness Zoom Series\n  \n  \n \nOur spiritual evolution does not take place separate from what is happening in the world. What used to take place in the hidden places of mystery schooling in the world is now a factor within history: The school of our becoming is life itself. In this presentation we will pick up the key elements that Rudolf Steiner names in his lecture from July 30th of 1918 and with them see better into the nature of what is happening in our time. What is revealed places us within powerful cultural streams of the present time – “Americanism\, Bolshevism and Jesuitism” – and reveals the profound challenge we are called to face in establishing the truly a human – and a truly human culture – within this context. It is a societal level expression of what is revealed as a mystery image at the opening of the ancient gospel texts: the temptation of Jesus in the desert. \n  \n  \nWhen \nSunday\, November 20 at 3:00 PM EST/Monday November 21 at 6.00am AEDT \nBackground Reading \nProblems of the Time\, 30 July 1918\, Berlin \nRegistration \nRegister here! \nRecordings of the webinars are not guaranteed. All efforts will be made to do so but please do not count on it. If you are unable to join the live webinar\, please do not register but rather check back in a few weeks after the webinar. Successful recordings will be listed for sale here. \nProceeds will benefit the Seminary of the Christian Community in North America \n  \nAbout Rev. Patrick Kennedy \nIn April of 2006\, Patrick Kennedy was consecrated into the priesthood in Chicago\, Illinois. Prior to attending the seminary in Stuttgart\, Germany\, Patrick studied and worked in the field of early childhood education and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California\, Santa Cruz in cultural anthropology. He has worked as a priest in the congregations in Devon\, Pennsylvania and the Greater Washington\, D.C.\, area. Then\, in Chestnut Ridge\, New York\, he took up the roles of both seminary director and resident priest in the local congregation. In July 2019\, Patrick\, his family\, and the entire seminary moved to the Toronto area. \n  \nThis series is hosted by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Branch \nof the Anthroposophical Society in America \n  \nImage credit: Temptations of Christ\, 12th-century mosaic in St Mark’s Basilica\, Venice

SUMMARY:Three-folding – Spiritual Freedom\, Social Equality Associative Economics
DESCRIPTION: \nThis is an interactive seminar in which each day is carefully structured around storytelling\, collaborative activities\, and creative presentations combined with deep conversation \nTell me more \nThis Threefolding seminar is an opportunity to explore\, re-view and question how human nature might be shaped by a viable\, healthy social organism through the right relationship of our cultural\, political and economic life. Central to this picture is an acknowledgement that any integrated system of social life must also foster the development of individual potential to the fullest degree compatible with the freedom and well-being of others. \nAldous Huxley wrote in 1946 that ‘the outcome of centralisation of economic and political power is the progressive loss by the masses of their civil liberties\, their personal independence and their opportunities for self-government’. This is more and more a feature of contemporary life where big tech\, big Pharma\, big banks and pervasive mass media dictate our reality.  \nSo how might we co-exist in ways that extend and illuminate our highest good amidst social arrangements that enable us to have the right thoughts on matters of social concern? And if so\, what kind of thoughts must exist so that the right social arrangements can arise? \nWhen is it on? \n9:00 – 4:00 AEDT\, 26/27 November 2022. \nVenues \n177 Waterworks Rd\, Dynnyrne \nBookings and Costs \nBook here! \n  \nFor more information \nContact Iris Curteis  mob: 0487 719 476 or download the flyer \n

SUMMARY:The IAO Motif and the Foundation Stone Meditation
DESCRIPTION:The IAO:  the Cosmic Image of the Human Being\nand the Foundation Stone Meditation\nThe final webinar of 3 practice-based workshops exploring key challenges of 5th epoch\, 6th epoch \nand our cosmic future as represented in the ceiling motifs of the first Goetheanum \n  \nPresenter: Fiona Campbell  \nThis is the 3rd and final webinar in the The Great Luciferic/Ahrimanic face-off exploring the ceiling motifs of the first Goetheanum\, as a transformative picture of the spiritual history of humanity. They raise questions about their relevance to today and how they could guide our future development. Each motif embodies a soul stage of human development as we traverse our starry and earthly path as individuals and as humanity as a whole. \nTell me more \nThe tragedy of dualism in our souls\, and how it manifests has been the leitmotif of this series. In this final workshop\, we contemplate how the path from the IOA as cosmic word resounding from the beginning of time to the IAO\, the cosmic image of the human being\, is a picture and a guide as to how to grapple with our innately dualistic natures. \nIn this presentation\, we explore these theme through discussion\, contemplation and a little sketching of the motif.  \nWho are the webinars for? \nFor anyone interested in Steiner’s approach to the spiritual evolution of humanity. \nBut you don’t have to have attended previous webinars to enjoy the presentation and discussion.  \nWhen is it on? \nSaturday afternoon 4.00-5.30pm AEDT\nWebinar workshops:  26 November \nEach session will be recorded and a video of the event will be available post-webinar.\nA list of suggested drawing materials and background readings is also included in the cost.  \nHow much does it cost?  \nOnline series:  $35  | Concessions available on request – please contact Fiona.\nVideo recording included in the cost \nWhere do I book?  \nBook here! \nAfter booking\, I will send you a confirmation email containing the zoom link to join the meeting.  \nThen download the payment details and materials list.  \nFor more information \nPlease contact Fiona Campbell  \n  \nBackground reading \nThe Foundation Stone Meditation GA 260 \nBackground notes \nAbout the first Goetheanum \n2022 marks the centenary of the burning of the first Goetheanum on New Year’s Eve in 1922/23. She studied visual arts\, dramatic arts [speech formation] in Stuttgart; a BA & BA Hon. in Creative Writing (SCU; UNE)\, and explored Storytelling and Community Building in her PhD thesis [SCU]. Working as a storyteller for several decades has convinced her that storytelling empowers our imagination and creative thinking and encourages us to appreciate our lives as works of art. As a social artist\, she is passionate about using art\, threefolding and creativity to examine and change the way we think\, build our capacity to shape more humane communities and support transformational change. She has explored the power of the human voice and the possibility to use the creative spoken word\, sounds and storytelling to support those who are approaching death; to overcome a sense of overwhelm and loneliness. Storytelling takes us into a liminal space – a crossing of thresholds – that can support us to gently and consciously enter a different state of being.  \nIrmhild Kleinhenz\, Anthroposophic Naturopath and Mentor\, ISAM\, ANTA accredited fellow. \nIrmhild has over forty years of experience in Anthroposophic medical therapeutic work.
