SUMMARY:Working with Steiner’s Colour lectures: image and lustre colours
DESCRIPTION: \nA masterclass studio with artist Fiona Campbell\nWhen we experience the life of colour\, \nwe step out of our own skins and take part in cosmic life. \n  \nYou are invited to join artist and researcher Fiona Campbell for an online masterclass (7 sessions) as she explores the nature of the image and lustre colours\, as outlined the first Colour lectures\, given by Rudolf Steiner in Dornach 6 to 8 May 1921 . Paint alongside her and share in her process as she explores the experience of green\, black\, incarnadine and white\, in polarity to the shining soul qualities experienced in blue\, red and yellow. \nIn these lectures\, Steiner indicates how colour can affect our health\, our sense of wellbeing\, and our soul life. Distinguishing between the image and lustre nature of the seven colours form the basis of Steiner’s approach to painting. Here he lays a foundation for a practical technique of working with colour that leads to a new direction in artistic creativity. \nYou don’t have to be a trained artist\, or even very experienced\, to enjoy this course\, but you do need self-motivation and some painting technique.  \nBackground information \nSteiner had an abiding desire to see a cultural and spiritual renewal emerge in the present time. through the arts. He said: ‘If you realise that art always has a relation to the spirit\, you will understand that both in creating and appreciating it\, art is something through which one enters the spiritual world.’ \nFollowing the success of her first online masterclass on Steiner’s Nine Training Sketches for the Painters\, this course is an essential foundation of any artist interested in the anthroposophic approach to understanding colour. It is also a follow up to answer some of the questions that arose during the first course\, but we welcome newcomers. \nWho are the masterclasses for? \n\nFor artists\, art therapists and art students looking to find a path of soul/spiritual development through the arts.\nFor anyone interested in gaining an appreciation of art as a revelation of spiritual realities through painting.\n\nTo get the most out of this course\, it is anticipated participants work alongside Fiona in-class and on their own between the fortnightly sessions.  \nRequired: basic watercolour wet-on-dry skills (you can use wet-on-wet or any other painting media\, such as oils or acrylics\, if you prefer\, but technical advice is not directed towards these media).  \nPlease note: this is not a step-by-step instructional class so not suitable for beginners unless you are adventurous and self-motivated! \nWhat dates are the classes? \n2-4pm AEST Friday afternoons \n13 May-5 August \nThe masterclasses are recorded but live participation is preferred\, unless your time zone makes this impossible.  \nHow much does it cost? \nOnline series:  $250 for 7×2 hr masterclasses or $42 for individual sessions. \nHow do I register? \nRegister here! \nPayment details and a list of suggested materials and readings available upon registration. \nFor more information \nFor more information about the masterclass or for any questions\, please contact Fiona Campbell \n\n \n  \nAbout Fiona Campbell \nFiona Campbell is a visual artist\, researcher\, lecturer and arts educator. She has an interdisciplinary PhD on creativity and cognition and has been a professional artist and arts educator for more than 30 years. \nShe is also teaches interdisciplinary research training and consciousness studies. She is a member of the Stream of Life Research Studio\, where her focus is phenomenology and creative cognition. \nYou can find out more about Fiona\, read about her teaching work at Sydney Rudolf Steiner College (where she has regularly taught since 1994) or listen to an ABC Soul Search interview with her about the anthroposophical approach to art. \nYou can view some of her colour studies of image and lustre here.  \n  \n  \n\n‘The laws of art are the hidden laws of the world.’\nWilliam Butler Yeats

SUMMARY:The Parsifal Project: a community arts project
DESCRIPTION: \nThe Parsifal Project\n  \n  \nThe Parsifal Project is a community project that aspires towards a contemporary envisioning of the famous medieval legend\, one that recontextualises the Parsifal legend for a modern multicultural audience.  \nWhat is it about? \nWriters\, poets\, philosophers and artists tell us that myths and legends hold spiritual insights into the sacred wisdom of past cultures\, but what about the spiritual insights we need to navigate our current world? Drawing on the cultural heritages we bring with us\, the Parsifal Project seeks find meaningful resonance between this medieval myth and contemporary intergenerational audiences. \nUsing the talents of a diverse cast and a script written by playwright Peter Oswald\, the project aims to make a significant contribution to our understanding of the Parsifal legend in light of Anthroposophy\, as a cosmopolitan Michaelic impulse and as a metaphor for modern human development. The story is our future; if so\, its mythic themes could be critical to today’s youth\, to all of us.  \nWhether your interest is in the spiritual foundations of the legend\, the literature\, creative writing or performing\, there is something here for anyone and everyone fascinated by the whole collection of Grail legends and its interpretations\, medieval or modern\, book or film. \nTimeline for the project \nThe project has five stages highlighting different arts and media: \n\nJune –  July 2022: Parsifal Unpacked\nCompleted. Explored the original story through performance\, literary text and thematic discussion.  \nSeptember – November 2022: Parsifal Reimagined\nCompleted. A series of  writing workshops where we reimagine the story through the lens of current cultural perspectives. \nJanuary 2023 – November 2023 : Parsifal Rescripted\nOngoing script development in conjunction with performance-based creative development intensives with on-the-floor exploration on the themes explored in Stages 1 and 2.  \nFebruary 2024 – February 2025: Parsifal Reinterpreted\nAuditions\, eurythmy and music workshops from February. Rehearsals begin in April 2024\, using the script based on Parsifal Rescripted. \nApril -May 2025: The Parsifal Project performance\nSaturday 26 April at 5.30 pm ACST\nSaturday 3rd May at at 5.30 pm ACST\nSunday 4th May at 2.30 pm ACST\nVenue: Living Arts Centre\, Mount Barker Waldorf School\, Mt Barker\, SA \n\n  \n  \nProject Director: Jo-anne Sarre\, Artistic Director of Ink Pots Arts \nJo-anne Sarre has worked in the performing arts sector as a freelance director\, actor\, storyteller\, playwright and educator since her four-year Speech and Drama training at The Harkness Studio\, Sydney in 1986. SUMMARY:Save the date! Envisioning the Future\, Youth Section online 16 July
DESCRIPTION: \nComing together in the spirit of our common work\n16 July 2022 online | 21-25 June 2023 at the Goetheanum \n \nGreetings from the Youth Section at the Goetheanum!\n \nWe are reaching out to you today to invite you to save the date for two special gatherings.\n\nIn preparation for this call\, we would like to ask for your help in shaping the content by sending us any questions relating to the Youth Section’s work that are currently living in your local groups.\n \n\nEnvisioning the Future |  Youth Section Worldwide Call  \nThe first meeting is an online call via Zoom on Saturday 16th of July 2022 from 15:00 – 17:00 CEST. At this meeting\, Constanza Kaliks and Nathaniel Williams together with the Youth Section at the Goetheanum’s team would like to share with you their vision for the Section’s leadership transition period. We hope this will be the first of many moments in which we begin envisioning with you all the foundations of the new period of work that will start in Spring 2023\, when Nathaniel Williams will overtake the leadership of our Section.\n \nSome of the questions we would like to touch upon are:\n\nWhat is the purpose and task of the Youth Section in the context of the Anthroposophical Movement and our present times?\n \nHow can we develop an understanding for our foundations\, which in 2024 will become 100 years old.\n \nAnd how can these inform our future steps? How is the relationship of the Youth Section to the rest of the movement\, for example the School of Spiritual Science and the other Sections\, the General Anthroposophical Society and the local Societies?\n\nAdditionally\, we will also welcome the recently founded Youth Section in Oceania to our Worldwide Network!\n\n\n \nYouth Section Co-Workers Gathering |  June 2023 at the Goetheanum\n\nThe second save the date we would like to share with you is for a Youth Section Co-Workers Gathering at the Goetheanum from 21-25th June 2023. This gathering will be an opportunity for delegates of each local Youth Section to come to the Goetheanum and work with one another for an intensive week. It would be wonderful if you could already save the date and let us know if you would like to attend this and help shape the program. This event is organised in the spirit of out 2019 meeting “Building Bridges Beyond Borders”.\n \nWe hope you are as excited as we are to come together again\, first online and then in person in a year’s time! Please let us know if you will be there.\n  \nWith our best thoughts from the Goetheanum\,\n \nAndrea de la Cruz\, Gaia Termopoli\, Ioana Viscrianu\, Jacinta Gorchs and \nJohannes Kronenberg with Constanza Kaliks\n\n\nYouth Section at the Goetheanum

The other is the cliché that has connected itself with it. The words Goethe really spoke are perhaps far more apt than the mere phrase “More light”. The state of things at the end of the nineteenth century does indeed arouse the feeling that our predecessors have closed the shutters. Then came the younger generation; they felt cramped; they felt that the shutters which the older generation had closed so tightly must be opened. Yes\, my dear friends\, I assure you that although I am old\, I shall tell you more of how we can now attempt to open the shutters again.’ \nRudolf Steiner\, GA 217\, THE YOUNGER GENERATION – Lecture 1 – Dornach\, 3 October 1922

SUMMARY:Tranformative Art & Architecture (TAA) Module 3
DESCRIPTION:The Human Being as Measure of All Things\nArchitectural Form and the Evolution of Consciousness \n  \nA Transformative Art & Architecture (TAA) seminar  \nAn online 6-day  seminar over 3 alternating weekends and 4 midweek evenings\, starting on Saturday 27th August 2022\,  9.45 am \nWhat is it about? \nTo be able to objectively evaluate architectural form we must base our judgements on an objective set of criteria. From a spiritual perspective\, the only truly objective criteria we have are those connected with the spiritual and physical nature of the human being. \nThe human being represents the 4th kingdom of nature\, which stands in a close relationship to the three lower\, animal\, plant and mineral kingdoms . In this module we explore this very relationship between the four nature kingdoms. The progression of consciousness from the mineral – plant – and animal – to the human kingdom provides us with valuable insights as to the hierarchy of form as well as the link  between form and consciousness. We conclude with a specific set of evaluation criteria. \nProgram \nOver the three weekends participants will gain practical and theoretic insights into the following questions: \n\nWhy and how is the human being a universal point of reference for Architectural Form?\nHow is the development of consciousness mirrored both in the historic forms of art & architecture and in the forms of the 4 kingdoms of nature?\nWhat relevance does the ascending hierarchy of form  have with respect to our modern forms of art & architecture?\nWhat is the Threefoldness of the Human Being and how is this mirrored in Architectural Form?\nWhat is the relationship between the 3 dimensions of space and our faculties of thinking\, feeling and willing?\nWhat is the architectural equivalent of the “body” “soul” and “spirit”\, of a building?\nWhat  objective criteria do we have by which architectural form is elevated to a higher level of consciousness?\n\n  \nOpen lecture: Introductory Lecture about the aims and methods of Transformative Art & Architecture \nDate: Thursday\, 25th August 2022 7.30 – 9 pm (Melbourne Time) \nThis lecture is open to all and is compulsory for all new  TAA students. Dedicated Zoom Link \nIf you cannot attend the lecture\, a recording of a similar lecture is available via this Vimeo link. \nDates \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nModule 3-Level I will be offered over 3 alternating weekends and 4 midweek evenings\, starting on Saturday 27th August 2022\,  9.45 am \nCost \n\n\n\nDiscount rate if paid upfront for the full course \n\n\n\n\nProfessional:  $900 (3 x $300)\nConcession:     $675  (3 x $225)\nFor Students:  $450 (3 x $50) \nNormal rate if paid per weekend \nProfessional:  $1150 (3 x $350)\nConcession:     $825  (3 x $275)\nFor Students:  $600 (3 x $200) \nAll payments dues in advance by the preceding Tuesday/s. The first payment due by Tuesday 23rd  August 2022. \nHow to enrol \nComplete this enrolment form   and send  it to Johannes & Sue \nUpon payment you will receive an email the receipt\, a more detailed program and the relevant zoom link which will remain the same for all sessions. \nFor more information \nFor more information\, please visit the Biosculptural Architecture website

SUMMARY:Working with Steiner's Seven School Sketches - further training for the artist
DESCRIPTION: \nA masterclass studio with artist Fiona Campbell\nThe Seven School (or Friedwart) Sketches motifs were given to the teachers as part of Rudolf Steiner’s new impulse for understanding both Art and Nature\, to help students explore objective spiritual laws\, where form arises out of colour\, not the reverse. The series moves from nature moods through the four elements to culminate in a Madonna and Child motif.  \n  \nWhat are the Training Sketches? \nTheses sketches are part of a comprehensive portfolio known as the Training Sketches for the Artists. The Nine Training Sketches (Nature Moods) and the Goetheanum epochs motifs form a substantial part of this portfolio. \nBut these sketches are not images of external natural events; they refer to acts that are effective in nature and human\, says Christiane Haid\, head of the Visual Arts Section and the Section for the Literary Arts and Humanities at the Goetheanum. She believes dealing with the creative forces can become the starting point for facing tasks in healing the world.  \nYou are invited to join artist and researcher Fiona Campbell for an online masterclass (seven sessions) as she works with these motifs as culmination of a year-long project to bring Steiner’s sketches and motifs to celebrate the centenary of Steiner’s gift to visual artists of the comprehensive portfolio known as the Training Sketches for the Artists. \nYou don’t have to be a professional artist\, or even very experienced\, to enjoy this course.  \nA training for the configuration of the soul \nThey are called training sketches\, but sometimes people wonder what it is they are training. They are not guides to technique\, nor are they supposed to be copied literally. They are not answers to what artworks of sunrises and trees and people should look like. Rather\, they are a training for the soul. What does this mean? \nThrough working with each sketch\, the painted is lead towards an inward experience of the motif. This opens up the way to true moral and spiritual experiences. By learning to unite herself with the inner essence of these motifs\, the artist can reveal through her work traces of her soul experience of the cosmos. \nHistorical background \nIn June 2022 it will have been one hundred years since the painter and sculptor Henny Geck asked Rudolf Steiner for a course that would bring about a renewal of the art of paining. Steiner gave a series of motifs to the artists in the form of rough sketches\, as a foundation for the renewal of the art of painting. the foundational program for painters seeking to work out of Anthroposophy. This program is comparable to the indications he gave to the eurythmists and has been practiced in different forms in anthroposophic art trainings since Steiner first gave the Nine Training Sketches to artist Henni Geck 100 years ago. \nThese masterclasses are part of a worldwide movement this year to celebrate Steiner’s  artistic impulse\, including the Goetheanum motifs\, on the centenary of the burning down of the First Goetheanum. They are also offering lectures and courses to help realise Rudolf Steiner’s vision of a new impulse in the arts and make these motifs visible to the wider public.  \nWho are the masterclasses for? \nFor artists\, Steiner teachers\, art therapists and art students looking to find a path in soul/spiritual development through the arts; and for anyone interested in understanding more about Rudolf Steiner’s impulse in Art. \nTo get the most out of this course\, it is anticipated that participants work alongside Fiona in-class and on their own between sessions.  \nRequired \n\nfamiliarity with Steiner’s or Goethe’s colour theories\nbasic watercolour wet-on-dry skills (you can use wet-on-wet or any other painting media\, such as oils or acrylics\, if you prefer but technical advice is not directed towards these media) \n\nThis is not a step-by-step instructional class so not suitable for beginners. \nWhat dates are the classes? \n2-4pm AEDT Friday afternoons \n2/16/30 September\, 14/28 October\, 11/25 November. \nSession 1: Sunrise\nSession 2:  Sunset\nSession 3:  Trees in Sunny Air\nSession 4:  Trees in Storm\nSession 5:  Sunlit Tree by a Waterfall\nSession 6:  Head Study\nSession 7: Madonna and Child \nHow much does it cost? \nOnline series: $250 for 7×2 hr masterclasses or $42 for individual sessions. \nWhere do I register? \nRegister here! \nPlease register online. If you are a new participant please also complete the enrolment form. \nYou  can download the enrolment form here (payment details and a list of suggested materials and readings included). The Zoom link will sent to you a few days before class. \nEdited versions of the masterclasses are recorded but live participation is preferred\, unless your time zone makes this impossible. \nFor more information \nFor more information about the masterclass or for any questions\, please contact Fiona Campbell \n You may also like to share this flyer with others. \n \n  \nAbout Fiona Campbell and her work \n\nhttps://www.anthroposophyau.org.au/wp-content/uploads/CampbellSunMoonTreesVideoV6.mp4\n  \nFiona Campbell is a visual artist\, researcher\, lecturer and arts educator.
