SUMMARY:The Heart in a Radiance of Stars
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Etheric Heart \nAn Organ of Spiritual Perception\nPresenters: Gillian Rogers\, Irmhild Kleinhenz\, Iris Curteis \nMany of us feel a genuine need to find innovative ways of being\, to cultivate courage and a deeper perception and understanding of the interconnectedness of life in all its visible and invisible forms. \nWith presentations born out of genuine insight\, a wealth of practice-based knowledge and creative activities\, we will explore heart thinking and the development and evolution of the etheric heart. Our intention is to provide tools and practices that enable us all to find greater strength\, clarity and humanity to meet these challenges. Using storytelling\, shared research\, visual and meditative exercises\, and conversations we will deepen our appreciation and understanding of the transformative capacity of the heart as an instrument for spiritual perception and heightened social consciousness. We will offer our work in a process of collaborative knowledge building\, creative exercises\, contemplation and conversation. \nDates \n18-20 August \nVenue \nHarmony Centre\, Mittagong \nCost \n\n\n\n\n$250 subsidised\nEarly Bird $300\nFor all rates see booking site. \n\n\n\n\nTo book  \nBook here \nBookings Close: 13 August \nFind out more \nDownload the flyer or contact Iris Curteis  \n  \nAbout the presenters \nIris Curteis is a storyteller and speech artist with 40 years of artistic experience. Her background includes studies in visual arts\, speechformation & dramatic arts (Europe)\, BA & BA hon. (Creative Writing) and a PhD on Storytelling and Community Building [Australia]. Anthroposophy has been her source of inspiration for 50 years. ‘I will use folktales and storytelling to create an experience of Heart Thinking as they offer immediate\, imaginative spiritual perceptions accessed through ‘liminal space’. To face growing social and ecological challenges\, we need pictorial\, creative thinking found through the folktale and within the liminal space of storytelling. Rather than a disintegration of the world into intellectual fragments\, we can uplift it through new human thinking and human acts. \nIrmhild Kleinhenz’s background and work include Post Grad. Diplomas in Applied Science and Integrative Medicine\, International Post Grad. Cert. Anthroposophic Medicine\, Integrative Medicine\, Health Consultant\, Anthroposophic Naturopath\, mentor for International Post Graduate Training in Anthroposophic Medicine\, Accredited Fellow of the Australian Natural Therapists Association and on-going research in global health issues. She will invite you to explore with her healing practices for the etheric heart\, the separation of the physical and etheric heart; the effects of this separation and the distorted rhythms that arise as a consequence; the heart as a pioneer in embryological development paralleled by the etheric and the astral heart as pioneers for human moral-ethical life\, and what impact illness and preventative interventions have on the development of the etheric heart. \nGillian Rogers holds a BA (hon English Lit.)\, Grad. Dip. Adult Ed.\, Post Grad. Cert (Professional Learning)\, MA (Steiner Education). She has worked in Steiner Education for over twenty-five years\, most recently as a Steiner high school English teacher\, Professional Learning coordinator and Head of Education. Her current interest lies in Community Development using place-based approaches centred on local collaboration and consultation\, and on development of leadership attributes aligned to a ‘Steiner context’\, but also inspired by Restorative Practices and Positive Psychology. ‘In the Future Waiting to be Born sessions\, I will inspire insights into the development of heart thinking\, generate experiences through exercises and observations stemming from Steiner’s work\, and use the growing body of research on the heart as an organ of perception as a reference point – all of which we will exploration through creative writing and poetry. \n

SUMMARY:A Festival of Change - Social Threefolding
DESCRIPTION: \nFive Creative Days on Sustainable Social and Organisational Change\nSocial Threefolding is the recognition that three distinct social spheres operate in all human social organisations. Based on this understanding the coordination of the social life processes are not unitarian or centralised by state or leading elite. Instead\, these three self-directed\, relatively autonomous spheres vertically and horizontally balance and enhance each other: \n\ncultural-spiritual life empowers and upholds unassailable freedom\, individuality and creativity; \nsocial life supports\, sustains\, and promotes equal justice as its highest aspiration\, out of an understanding that we are all equal by virtue of our humanity;\neconomic life\, is balanced by reciprocal interactions between people and people\, and people and environment\, governed by solidarity with the endeavour to meet human needs and enable individuals to work out of their pre-birth intentions. With social threefolding/social sculpture we can build systems that reflect what it is to be truly human.\n\nWe use engaging presentations\, deep conversations\, and some unusual tools: Storytelling\, creative engagement\, and board games. \nWatch a video about social threefolding \nDates \n20-24 September 2023 \nVenue \nHarmony Centre\, Mittagong\, NSW \nCosts \nDownload the flyer for more information about the fees for this event or contact Iris Curteis  \nBookings \nBook here \nPlease remember to book your accommodation separately. \nPresenters \nIrmhild Kleinhenz – Functional Threefoldness within the Human Body\nHamish Mackay – Economy Life\nGillian Rogers – Social Rights Life\nIris Curteis – Spiritual Cultural Life \n  \nWhere the realm of freedom of thought and action begin\, \nthe determination of individuals according to generic laws ends.

SUMMARY:Me and My Shadows
DESCRIPTION: \nSpiritual Science revealed in Goethe’s masterpiece Faust \nRead our leaflet \n  \nYou are warmly invited to attend our performance. We are endeavouring to bring some of what Steiner brought of the mysteries revealed in Goethe’s “Faust” in the weeks leading to the centenary of Steiner’s crossing of the threshold. \nDownload the poster \nWhat is it about?  \n\n\nMe and My Shadows is a multimedia performance that brings the power of Goethe’s and Steiner’s words with original score played by live musicians\, Eurythmy movement and coloured light and coloured shadow and puppetry art in community. Performances will take place in March 2025 at Rudolf Steiner School theatre. \nThis production of Faust will bring a modernised translation using Goethe words. In addition\, a new character -‘The Teacher’ will present Steiner’s explanations of the strange experiences Goethe wrote as his characters cross the threshold into different spiritual realms. Steiner was deeply impressed with the accuracy of Goethe’s descriptions\, even naming the temples he designed\, after Goethe\, Steiner had the intention of creating a space that would honour and support productions of Faust (and his own ‘Mystery Plays‘) and might even be able to communicate with the plays\, \nFaust reimagined \nThis re-imagining of the 17th -18th Century play Faust explores relevant and crucial contemporary themes such as an epidemic\, mental health\, struggles with addiction\, trauma\, cancelling\, experiences with spiritual beings and living life as a flawed human being who causes much destruction and pain. \nMe and my Shadows will be presented by many creatives as a collaboration of writer and composer\, actors\, musicians\, choir\, eurythmy\, light and coloured shadow artists and crew to bring to the beautiful little theatre at Kamaroi School \,Belrose Sydney in March 2025. \nGratitude for the St John Sydney Group\, The Christian Community Sydney\, Kamaori Rudolf Steiner School\, The Anthroposophical Society in Australia\, Inala\, members from Lorien Novalis Steiner School\, Gleneaon Steiner School\, the School of Spiritual Science and the many individuals who have already dedicated hundreds of hours for their practical and financial support. \nPerformance dates \n2025 \nFriday 7 March at 7.30pm Opening night \nSaturday 8 March at 2.00pm.  \nSenior accessible session\n \nFriday 14 March at 7.30pm\nSaturday 15 March at 2.00pm \nWhere \nKamaroi Rudolf Steiner School\n220 Forest Way\, Belrose NSW 2085 \nFor more information \nPlease contact us \nBookings \nBook here! \n \n  \n  \n\n\n\n  \n  \n\n  \n  \n
