SUMMARY:Wise Women Storytelling; Meeting the Baba Yaga
DESCRIPTION:Before life separated into good and evil\, there was Baba Yaga. Crumbling and creating matter in her iron mortar and pestle\, stirring the universe. Ignoring gravity\, flying through the air. \nMeeting her demands courage; a journey through the wildwood after someone has doused all light in your life and thrust you out into cold and the only hope lies at the end of a lonely and frightening passage through the night-shadowed forest. This is a journey of consciousness; the alchemical work of separation and blending; developing emotional dexterity\, authentic judgment\, nurturing patience and sound knowing: I can do this! \nIn this one-day workshop\, Storyteller & Social Artist\, Iris Curteis will take you deep into the feminine mystery of Baba Yaga. Her tools: oral storytelling\, mapping\, image-making\, creative writing & guided conversations in a safe & respectful space. \n  \nCost: $150; concessions $100\nTime: Sunday 11th July 10:00 am – 3:30 pm\n \nFor more information: click here to see the flyer or contact Iris Curteis \n  \nPresenter: Iris Curteis Ph.D.  is a storyteller and social artist with a passion for community building.
