Clarifying notes concerning the Constitution of the Anthroposophical Society in Australia

Summary of the changes between the 2020 and 2011 versions are (page 26) as follows:

  1. Modifications to Section 1.2.9 Disciplining of members to reflect ACT Legislative changes. 
  2. Modifications to Section 1.2.10 Dispute Resolution Procedures to reflect ACT legislative changes. 
  3. Modification to Section 1.4.19 Committee members and quorum to include various types of technology used for communication. 
  4. Reformatted and updated the table of contents. 
  5. Addition of the Version Control table. 

These changes were ratified at the AGM 2020 and are registered with Access Canberra.

SUMMARY

  • The current Anthroposophical Society in Australia Constitution was modified in 2020, and the document retains 2011 written in the title.   
  • Modifications in 2020 are legally binding.A 
  • A new ‘Constitution Working Group’ was formed in 2025.   
  • This new group will bring a consultative, transparent process with members. 
  • All members will be included in the drafting process.
  • There will be discussion time at the 2026 AGM meetings.
